Have you ever thought about "a day in the life" of your favorite classic actor?

Back in the '60s and '70s, a time when social media and reality TV were non-existent, we rarely saw what actors did in their private lives unless the media invaded their privacy, or the actors decided to open up a bit. Jack Lord, the star of Hawaii Five-O, gave fans insight into what his mornings were like.

During an interview with the Courier-Post in 1972, a writer spent a day with Jack Lord and documented his very disciplined schedule.

The article revealed that Lord's day began promptly at 4:30 AM. He starts with "a measured mile run on the beach near his home. This is followed by a long bicycle ride, five miles when the time permits, and then a man-sized breakfast prepared by his wife, Marie. By the time most people are beginning to stir in their beds and think about getting up, Lord has had a two-hour regime that keeps him in top shape for the rugged schedule of filming the hit series Hawaii Five-O."

By 6:30 AM, the star was picked up by his chauffeur and driven to the studio for a full day of filming. Lord valued looking his best, even with his hectic schedule.

Lord and his wife had almost no nightlife; however, that never bothered him. "I am strictly a day person," he said. "I hate the night. With my schedule, I go to bed early, of course."
