Over the years thousands of Chuck Norris jokes have been created out of his legend. Thanks to his tough-guy persona, Norris has successfully made memes and jokes out of thin air. However, out of large collection of jokes and myths, one was made from a real-life experience.

"Chuck Norris was once bitten by a rattlesnake, and after three days of suffering... the rattlesnake died!"

During the filming of an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger, Cordell Walker had a scene where he picks up a rattlesnake. Showing off his fearlessness, Walker holds the snake and counts every rattle on it before letting it go.

With Norris having the same devil-may-care attitude as his character, the first take of the scene went down without a problem. The director wanted to shoot the scene one more time to make sure it was just right — only for the snake to sink his fangs into Chuck Norris's arm.

“Blood went flying everywhere. My director takes off running," said Norris about the snake encounter.

The director long gone from the scene, Norris went to the animal handler who suggested that it might be best to get his bite looked at. Thankfully the bite was mild and there was no venom found in his system. Probably because the snake was too afraid to poison Chuck Norris.
