When she became Wonder Woman, not only did she take over television, but she also took over the world. Children and adults admired her for taking the role of Diana Prince and making it her own.
"I'm just living out a fantasy. Since I first read about her, it's as if Wonder Woman were a part of my being." Carter told The Philadelphia Inquirer in 1976.
People even created fan clubs like "The New Original Lynda Carter Society for the Fulfillment of our Fantasies" in Canada to show their appreciation for the actress and the comic book series.
